Written by one of the pioneers in Interventional Bronchoscopy. This book differs from the rest of the body of literature in terms of the approach to teaching.There is a logical approach to every chapter.Carefully written chapters making the reader understand why each sonographic picture appears in the way it appears. Would have been very good if they had included 10R and 10 L lymph nodes in their chapters. But nothing to take away from the benefits of this book

A quirky, unusual love story,

This was a quirky, unusual love story, featuring two people who are polar opposites in temperament finding their way into a relationship.

Glass artist Jen Kessler is thrilled to find a cheap apartment in an old Victorian mansion. In addition to the benefits of a stained glass window and a turret, the apartment comes with a red hot landlord.

For his part, Mathematics Professor Drake Mathews lives a life of control, reaching the point of being a Dom and controlling his girlfriends in bed. He is instantly attracted to Jen, but her bohemian lifestyle leaves him with the strong need to provide her with some rules to keep her safe. Jen, however, doesn’t need or want someone running her life. As the two learn more about each other, the reasons behind their actions become clear. But can these two different people find happiness together?

Both Jen and Drake are likable characters. Their motivation for their behavior becomes clear as they open up to each other-and the sex is fantastic.

Expect some bondage , spanking, impact play, and rope suspension.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable read by a new to me author. I will be looking for more from her.

Beautifully written

I really enjoyed this book and was sorry when it ended. The characters are quirky and fun, real people that you can identify with. They are both likeable, people you'd enjoy hanging around with although like most of us they have their imperfections. Watching them fall in love and work out their relationship problems is like watching friends...your pulling for them to win.

The bdsm aspects of the book are written from the perspective of someone who understands the scene. Each new thing that the couple try together is explained so that if you've never done any bdsm, you'd still understand how and why things happen the way they do. It's not just about kinky sex (although the sex is really good!) but about the connections made between a dominant and a submissive. I really enjoyed this book and cant wait for more from this author.

There will, no doubt, be some that pick this book up read the cover and say, I am familiar with this teaching, it is more of the same. That is far from the truth. The first time I heard Kerry Kirkwood teach I realized he was a man whom, God had entrusted with transforming truth. I begged him to get this into print for the benefit of families and those in market place ministries. If I had another 100 years to live this book would remain in my library. This will be a book that you read and reread, it will be a book you give to family and friends. You will find yourself going back to it for reference. It is a line upon line book. I think we are living in a day when we have a tendency to fix single meaning to truths that we have heard. In doing this we shut our self out from future revelation. This is one of the most timely books I have ever had in my hand, it is a book written by a man of God whose time has come. About the Author
Kerry Kirkwood is the founding pastor of Trinity Fellowship in Tyler, Texas, founded in 1987. He currently serves as senior pastor and as the network director of Antioch Oasis International. He helps oversee churches nationally and internationally and is known for his gifting in prophetic presbytery and conferences. He and his wife, Diane, have four children and two grandchildren.

Beyond the Mundane - Practicing the Life and Power of Blessing

Kerry Kirkwood's book "The Power of Blessing" describes a lifestyle of blessing others. My heart was filled with expectation as I began to read the stories and testimonies of healing from physical afflictions, of restored relationships, and of business breakthroughs.

Kirkwood proposes that there are various aspects of blessing which focus on a lifestyle that goes beyond materialism, changing the heart, to become a prophetic declaration, creative and restorative. Kerry uses Biblical and contemporary stories to illustrate how God brings things back into His divine order. The power of blessing restores hope, gives back dreams, and redirects faith to see unanswerable prayer answered.

The book is made up of four parts designed to help the reader understand the revelation of blessing, the inclusion for blessing, the activation of blessing and the manifestation of blessing. The chapters are filled with practical applications which talk of how when we apply truth we are set free to see things from God's perspective.

I was moved by the affirmations expressed in the prayers included in each chapter. They are excellent models for future personal prayers. Additional suggestions for "Blessing" are included in the appendix. The scriptures included throughout the book have a direct correlation to life principles, providing guidelines for living and for transforming truth into reshaping our lives.

"The Power of Blessing" is a book for every Christian. Kerry Kirkwood brilliantly sheds new light on God's intended favor for his children. He takes the reader beyond the mundane to a life of experiencing the Power of Blessing.

Knowing You are Blessed

Are you desiring to live a life of knowing you are being blessed? Although there are many, many books on the subject of God's blessing, this book is one that touches deeply the heart of the believer if her or she really want to know the Truths of blessing others and being blessed.
I will for this book give to you the titles of the four parts of this book and they are Revelation of Blessing, Inclusion of Blessing, Activitation of Blessing, and Manifestation of Blessing.
This is a book to read and re-read and to keep on the shelf available as a reference. It is a great teaching book for small groups. A question...How do you feel or think when you are blessed and it affects your life?

We are to be blessed and bless others as well. True blessing spoken over someone or something is describing the way God sees them. When we speak blessings over our children, we are saying what their life should be, not what it is now. If we want a blessing, we have to develop a lifestyle of blessing others.

Usually it is in response to the fact that a craft is being lost that the need for preserving and documenting it arises. The motivation behind this book is no exception, but the authors have gone far beyond simple documentation. Extensive research and experimentation have led to the revival here of shibori techniques that were once well known but have now been largely forgotten in Japan. In addition to more conventional techniques, the work of contemporary fiber artists in Japan and abroad in shibori textile art and wearable art is presented, to suggest the extent of the creative innovation possible.

About the Author

An artist, author, exhibition curator, textile researcher, and film producer, Yoshiko Iwamoto Wada has long been a proponent of traditional and sustainable practices in fashion and textile production. She travels throughout the world giving lectures and workshops. Wada is the President of the World Shibori Network and founder of the Slow Fiber Studio in California. Mary Kellogg was a leading figure in the textile and crafts community. She passed away in 2011 at the age of 100. Artist Jane Barton studied textile art with Yoshiko Wada.

The "Shibori Bible", THE book most used by artists.

If you have one book on Shibori, this should be the one (reviewers opinion)! Yoshiko Wada covers the scope of Shibori, its history, artists and techniques with expertise and beautiful photos. There are only a handful of books on traditional shibori in English. Here you will find an easy to read, well laid out format. Techniques are covered with clear, detailed instructions and diagrams. This is most helpful for beginners yet allows the advanced to become more proficient and precise. Complimenting the above are excellent color photos; close-ups of patterns (a vast selection), garments, ancient, traditional and contemporary artists and their works. Yoshiko's book takes the reader from the historical through creating a completed piece of art. Fact: This reviewer was introduced to this book in an art class. Five years later, now a shibori artist, I still use Yoshiko's book on an almost daily basis. The wealth of information she provides is invaluable as both guide and reference. Thank you Yoshiko and Amazon for offering this book.

an aesthetic feast; an easy-to-follow, practical handbook

This book must be The Definitive volume on Shibori. It contains a wealth of information on the creation and development of the art, background information on the culture which nourished it, and biographical information on some of the principle artists responsible for its evolution. The illustrations are at least as impressive as the text. The book contains hundreds of photographs, both of completed garments and of swatches created through the use of the various techniques detailed in the book. The instructions for re-creating those patterns are clearly explained and easy to follow. Most remarkably, this book would serve equally well as a reference work or even a "coffee-table" book for those with an interest in textile art or art history, or as a manual for the textile artist. Although it is costly, the book represents an excellent value since it would take a lifetime (literally) to begin to exhaust the creative possiblities presented in it. It is a most worthwhile investment.

The most complete book in print on Shibori art and technique

This book is a thorough and exhaustive study of the art and techniques of shibori, the Japanese style of what is popularly known as tie dye. What this book will show you, however, goes far beyond the simple craft we associate with T shirts. In Japan techniques of stitching, tying, or clamping fabric produce designs of enormous complexity and beauty. The descriptions are detailed and accompanied by photographs and drawings that clearly show both the pattern and the technique used to achieve it. In addition color illustrations show completed pieces, both traditional and modern. Whether you want to try this craft or simply enjoy the art of beautiful textiles, this book is the one to get. It is unfortunate that it has never been published in a less expensive edition, but there is no other book on shibori that is even faintly equivalent.
