Such an Inspiration

I originally found this book at a PaperSource shop. When I went back to get it, it was sold out so I was ecstatic when I saw it on Amazon. Love the inspirational quotes and fun polaroid photos. A lot of times we end up living our lives for others. When you read this book it encourages you to connect back to your true self to find the beautiful, confident and strong women that are truly are. Highly recommend - I am Her.

The copy i bought said it was used by you'd never know it. I saw this in the gift shop at the Space Needle, flipped through it & loved what I saw. Visually its beautiful (the cool colors remind me of Seattle, where the author is from). The quotes are inspiring and I love that she provides you with areas to write about how you are going to use that inspiriation. I got this book while going through a very nasty divorce and many times its given me the little pickup that I need. I want to buy it for every woman I know who needs to remember how amazing she is.

I like to read through it casually and gain a little more inspiration on how I can change and how I want people to view me as I see myself grow into these good qualities talked about in the book. I wanted to read this book because James Joyce is on my list of authors whose books I need to read. I've had Dubliners sitting on my shelf unread for the longest time. However I have managed to read a few of his works so I didn't feel totally unprepared.
Edna O'Brien touches on various points in Joyce's life from birth to death. From Joyce's dysfunctional family life to his volatile marriage to his wife, Nora. O'Brien includes many interesting facts about Joyce's rise to fame. His peculiar tendencies and his prideful nature.
I think if I had read more of Joyce's novels before hand it would have helped me to decipher and make the character connections even more so. O'Brien did a fairly good job in trying to correlate the influences in Joyce's life to the characters in his novels. This is also a short biography so it doesn't go into great detail about Joyce's life. However this is a great introduction to James Joyce.
Overall this is a good read. It's an insightful look into one of literature's treasures. This biography is really enjoyable and I'm so glad that I read it. Now it's time to dust Dubliners off the shelf.

Just by the title of this book, you would have never guessed it would be so amazing! Knight In Fly Armour is 1 of those books you have to keep reading & reading to find out what happens next. I literally read this everywhere. The story is so original & different & unpredictable. 500 pages of greatness. Wish I could rate this more stars because its defiantly worth it. If your'e wondering should you get this book.. wonder no longer. YES YES YES! You won't be disappointed. Highly recommended. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

First book I've read by the author and I was blown away ; I stayed up and read this book for 5 hours STRAIGHT !! And still didnt finish it ..
This book is definitely a page turner .. I couldn't put my kindle down.
The ending was .............
But I assumed it was just a happy ending for all parties involved.
Will I read another book by this author. HELL YEAH !! 10 STARS !!

I was leery when I purchased this eBook because I was not familiar with the author, but once I started reading it had me not wanting to stop and looking for more books from this author. The story was intriguing and different. It was about American students with African roots and families issues. Love, struggles, death, reunions and happy endings. It took one girl from not believing she was beautiful to meeting a well successful young man to validate her worthiness. A young lady who is 18 years old going through emotional abuse at home while still in school and finding happiness and love. Our last star was a young woman who was shipped to American under false pretense and how she manages away from her only known family member left in Africa. This is a book that will give a new light to happy endings and how the younger generation can be successful in life and live a productive life with the street threatening to take their lives.
