Worth it... NASM personal training exam study to learn muscles

I bought this book to help study for the NASM CPT (certified personal trainer) exam. I needed a helpful way to learn the muscles. As other reviews stated, this book is phenomenal. It shows a clear picture of the muscle... zoomed in and zoomed out, strengthening AND stretching exercises for it, basic functional movement of the muscle, sports that heavily utilize the muscle, AND movements that may damage the muscle. There is an index of muscles at the end which is also very helpful. All in all, this book gets a gold star from me. It is exactly the concise information I needed to learn the muscles for the personal training exam.

Precise, Detailed, To The Point

The best description of the book is the book's title, "The Concise Book of Muscles". Straight forward and to the point. Covers a lot of useful information without unnecessary chatter.
The illustrations are clear and easy to understand with just the right amount of detail. .
I use this book on my Fire HD 7 in my work as a Personal Trainer, it helps me share information with my clients about what muscles we are working and why we are doing particular exercises. However there is enough detail in the illustrations that they still show up well on a non-color e-reader like my Kindle 6.
This is a very useful reference book in regards to the basics of the main skeletal muscles.
I do recommend.

A Wonderful Clear, and Easy to Reference Book!

I am a Certified Massage Therapist and have frequent need in my practice to reference a muscle or muscle group to help a client. This book is laid out in an intuitive manner for reference. The illustrations are beautifully done and easy to understand for me and for a client when I share with him or her.

I employ deep tissue therapy with activation for my clients. The Origin, Insertion, and Action reminders, along with the basic functional movement section, help me to ensure the proper treatment for each individual. I also love the easy to use stretch and exercise inserts.
